Recycling Your Old Computer

Forget the days of donating your old computer to a school or charity. They won't want it unless it's relatively new (less than a year old); plus the tax write-offs are practically nil nowadays.

Your best bet is to be a good citizen to recycle it. To avoid identity theft, it is absolutely crucial that you ERASE YOUR HARD DRIVE before donating, discarding or recycling your computer. Once you've erased your hard drive, here are some links to national computer recycling programs:
